Aim:
This course has been developed to enable the delegate working in the 'Pit' at live concerts to have a wider understanding of the hazards associated with working in this role, together with the various issues you may be faced with.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course delegates will be better able to:

• List the hazards entailed when working within the 'Pit'.
• Appreciate the roles and responsibilities of working in the 'Pit'.
• Identify potential defects with the barrier construction.
• Visually inspect the front of the stage barrier.
• Communicate effectively with members of the audience.
• Identify the early signs of distress within an audience.
• Extract members of the audience who are in distress safely over the barrier.
• Appreciate the need for effective crowd management strategies.
• Effectively deal with crowd surfers.
• Appreciate the need for first aid training.

Participant Profile:
This workshop is designed for security staff who work front of stage at live music venues. It would also benefit venue managers.
